Camellia seed oil is cold pressed from the seeds of Camellia oleifera, a plant native to East Asia and traditionally cultivated in regions of China and Japan. Often referred to as tea seed oil, it has a long history of use as a skin and hair emollient.

This oil is naturally high in oleic acid and contains antioxidant polyphenols, which support barrier function and help defend against oxidative stress. Camellia seed oil is also valued for its lightweight sensory profile. It absorbs quickly, spreads easily, and leaves a soft, non-greasy finish, making it well suited for skin that prefers rich nourishment without heaviness.
