GLUCONOLACTONE

Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid derived from the fermentation of glucose. It provides gentle exfoliation by loosening surface cell buildup while also acting as a humectant. Because it is a larger molecule than many AHAs, it penetrates more slowly and is generally better tolerated by sensitive or barrier-compromised skin. It also has antioxidant activity, supporting skin resilience against environmental stress.
