Pressed from sunflower seeds, this oil is naturally rich in linoleic acid and vitamin E. Linoleic acid is a critical component of the skin barrier and has been associated with reduced transepidermal water loss and improved barrier recovery. Sunflower oil has been shown in clinical settings to support barrier repair without disrupting the stratum corneum.
